Hello,
We would like to take this time to provide the community with important information related to upcoming changes in our Anti-SPAM Policies.
Over recent months we have had an increase in SPAM related complaints that have been generated on our network. We understand that from time to time SPAM complaints will always come in on any given account due to numerous factors that are beyond the control of our members, and safety nets are being put in place with our upcoming policy change to protect honest members who are not intentionally abusing our policies.
Beginning in March 2010 we will begin to roll-out additional Anti-Spam measures in an effort to protect our network and community. Our rollout will begin next month and be fully phased in by September 2010
What is changing in March 2010?
For the benefit of the community our changes will be a multi-step process to ensure all of our members are in full compliance with our policies, beginning in March 2010 new members of the community will be limited to the amount of IP resources they can request from us during the initial 60 days of their registration.
In March 2010 we will be unveiling our new IP Resource Allocation Tool Center which will be a help center where additional members will go to on our site to request additional resource allocations from us, this new Tool Center will enable our customers to request additional resources, cancel resources, update nameservers etc.
New Members with justification may request up to a /22 of address space from Infinitie Networks within the first 60 days of registration.
Once a member has been registered on the site for more then 60 days, has not generated an unacceptable level of SPAM complaints and has an account in good financial standing they will no longer be restricted to the amount of address space they can request, provided approved justification is submitted to us.
In March 2010 we will also be expanding members of the internet communities ability to report unsolicited spam that is generated from our network by using our new Unsolicited SPAM Reporting Tool which will be available on our site in March.
What is changing in April 2010?
In April 2010 we will be unveiling new guidance's for our members who are not in compliance with our Anti-Spam Policies, Information notices will be distributed to members of the community who generate an unacceptable level of complaints against there account for non-compliance of Anti-Spam Policies. These informational notices will serve as courtesy notices to gain compliance with our policies in order to avoid any administrative action or intervention on our part. We will also begin requesting our members to gain compliance with any SBL SPAM listings resulting from their actions. These SBL listings would need to be resolved prior to any additional space being assigned to that specific member.
What happens next?
Infinitie Networks over the course of 2010 will continue to expand on our Anti-Spam and IP Resources policies. Our goal is to enable our members to grow their businesses through our services and enjoy the services that we provide. Our new policies will continue to protect our compliant members of the community while providing incentive to our non-compliant members to gain compliance with our policies.
Over the coming months depending on the severity of violations of our expanded policy, restriction limits will be placed on the account, ranging from an informational notice with a specified review date, to more significant actions being taken such as account fines, limitations, suspension, and account termination.
Members will have the opportunity with their restriction to review their habits and make corrections in order to provide significant improvement. If significant improvement occurs, the restriction will be automatically removed during the specified restriction review date.
If significant improvement does not occur during the initial review, additional action is taken to incent improvement, which ranges from an escalated account restriction with secondary review, or a temporary or indefinite account suspension.
